What a tiring weekend!
Had volunteering in the mornings of Saturday and Sunday at the zoo sharing bits of information about horses! Best part was getting to play with the horse skull and doing a hand painting. Brushes and grooming kit we had plenty of contact grooming the fallabellas! I thought that we could get to hang out with a real horse when i signed up but apparently not.
Made some really nice new friends!
On Saturday went to celebrate Elton and Bryan's birthday! Elton's gf had planned a surprise party for him so we all went down for that!
It was raining which was such a bummer because we were going to have a barbeque. Wet weather is such a downer luckily it clearer up towards the later part of the night.
The place was at the Gallop Stables at Punggol. Quite pretty, the chalet was a bit small and the horses were tucked away so no smells as well but you still get to view the horses!
This is the birthday party with the best birthday cake ever! I took a bit of Elton's chocolate one and it was so delicious. I never thought Bryan's one would be better! It was white and fillled with all sorts of delicious things. There was this white gooey thing which we couldn't figure out what was it?! Best cake ever I swear!
Moved the party over to Bryan's house where his mum is just this brillant Bingo organiser with the thing to churn individual balls out and all!
Thought Bingo was some old people's game but guess not! Everyone including all the young ones loved it. Guess getting to win money is quite a motivatingg factor. Second round of cake for Bryan, this one is then officially his party.
Including angbaos we left the house with close to two hundred bucks to go spend. Next stop was Plonk at Serangoon Gardens where we had beer, cheeses and lovely truffle fries!
Was so tired by the time I got home coudn't be bothered to wash my hair. Early morning again on Sunday for volunteering and then a behind the scenes tour of the vet place and central kitchen at the zoo!
Absolutely fascinating to see how everything works! Even got to see a baby civet (?) or possum (?) sleeping with its toys. Cutest thing ever.
That was a busy busy weekend. No time to watch even an episode of my dramas and work tomorrow. Noooooo not looking forward.
